James Street Swing Bridge - Canon 5D Classic

Patrick Chondon November 18, 2019

Early in the morning I was in Port Arthur at Jumbo Gardens. After that, I went home for a bit than headed out again to Westfort to check out the recently reopened James Street Swing Bridge. After a fire in 2013, it has been closed since then. Now that it’s up and functioning again, I figured I would check it out. Just as earlier in the morning, I still decided to use my Canon 5D Classic with the 50mm 1.2.

The weather was still cloudy which was ideal. After walking up and down the bridge I saw that the stairs were open that go down to the river. Usually it’s closed so I was excited to see that the gate was open. From down on the shore I was able to get some great angles overlooking the bridge. Plus there was a docked boat on the platform so I also captured some great photos of that.
